Dogs deserve our love and protection, as they provide us with much needed love and compassion and they ask for so very little in return.
Liz Haslam hails from England and she considers herself a true animal lover and has dedicated her life to the continued protection of our four legged friends.
She knows that there are certain breeds of dog that struggle to find homes because of prejudice related to their kind.
As a result, some dog breeds find it nearly impossible to find a home to call their own.
Fortunately for the Bull Terriers out there who cannot find forever homes, Liz has become their champion.
Back in 2015, Liz got an unnerving call from a Turkish animal protection group.
They had found a dog who was badly in need of help and from the looks of it, he had been abused in a horrific manner.
By all indications, the animal had been shot repeatedly with a paintball gun.
Liz took one look at the poor creature and knew that she had to do everything in her power to help.
He had been named Eric by his helpers and without Liz’ assistance, Eric was not very long for this world.
The flight to transport Eric to England was a costly one and fortunately, he was able to arrive in a safe and timely manner at his new home in Barnham.
He was not out of the woods yet, though, and there was still a few other concerns that needed to be addressed.
An X-ray needed to be done in order to assess all of Eric’s concerns and once you find out what was wedged inside of the dog’s body, you will not believe your eyes.
We hope that Eric is finally done suffering and we send our heartfelt thanks to good people like Liz who are willing to help dogs that the world neglects.
